To all my fellow Morons:
The magical birth of Moron Headquarters and the two Moron Substations in August of 1995 marked the dawning of an unforgettable era. Because of the close geographical proximity of these Goler house locales and the Moron domiciles both on and off campus, a world was created that was highly conducive to social livelihood. The next few years flourished with a gregarious energy that brought with it an exuberant number of Moron excursions. From innocuous, two-minute walks to Wegman’s, to raging, sometimes violent Superbowl Parties, the Moron dynasty did indeed shine luminously with the light of each passing day.
Although this gregarious energy has, at times, varied in frequency over the course of these past 5 1/2 years, I am happy to say that, despite life’s transient nature, this energy does indeed still radiate.
While there is no doubt in my mind that the Morons, in some fashion, will perpetuate their spiritual unity and sustain their will to coalesce and revel in each other’s company for decades to come, I must concede that this fashion, at some point in time, will differ greatly in nature from these memorable, evanescing years. Sensing this phenomenon developing in 1996, I wondered of the potential nostalgia to be experienced by perusing through a theoretical archive of the many excursions the Morons have embarked upon. So finally, on September 6th, 1996, I decided to turn theory into reality and made the first entry in the official Moron’s Log.
I suppose that, for all intents and purposes, browsing the pages of the archive really is nothing more than a nostalgic odyssey, although I do like to think that this type of acknowledgement of sometimes seemingly trivial outings gives them, in retrospect, just a little more significance.
So I invite everyone to utilize these pages freely… be it for reminiscing, or for whatever type of intrinsic enhancement one may derive from them. At any rate, may each of your forthcoming days radiate with more meaning than the last...
